Air conditioners work in a similar way to a refrigerator, but whilst refrigerators cool small areas inside the unit, air conditioners work to cool larger areas within your home. Explained very basically, an air conditioning system has 3 main parts, a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator. The compressor pumps refrigerant around the system which draws hot air from the room, this passes through the condenser where the heat is removed and over the evaporator where cold air is delivered into the room. This process is reversed to allow the system to supply energy efficient heating too.

WHAT IS WATER COOLED AIR CONDITIONING?
Every air conditioning system requires a condenser to allow it to work. In a conventional air conditioning system, the condenser (large box) is located on the outside of the property. This condenser uses air passing over it to remove the heat (when in cooling mode) into the atmosphere whereas totally internal systems do the same job of removing the heat however, instead of using air we use water.
Where there is a demand for the room to be cooled or heated, mains water is passed, in a totally controlled manner, through the condenser cooling it as required.
As planning permission is not usually required, our internal air conditioning systems are the natural solution for apartments, listed buildings, properties in conservation areas and properties simply lacking in outside space.
HOW DOES OUR WATER-COOLED CONDENSER AIR CONDITIONING SOLUTION WORK?
Our internal condenser is connected by specialist pipework to either a stylish wall-mounted unit or a hidden ducted unit fitted to the room that requires heating or cooling.
The condenser can be hidden in your apartment, such as in a hall sited utility cupboard or kitchen cupboard etc. For more than one indoor unit a larger space may be required however regardless of how many internal units you require the condenser still only needs a single water supply and drain connection.
Using the latest Toshiba DC motor technology our compressor can bring the temperature to the desired level in about 1/3 of the time needed by other systems (both in heating and cooling mode) meaning they only use the minimum amount of energy required to maintain the comfort level of the room. We only install systems which contain the environmentally friendly refrigerant R32 which has zero ozone depleting potential.
Using our unique technologically advanced water saver system it is possible to reduce the water consumption by up to 40% and by 90% with our patented ring system.

Working with our specialist internal air conditioning partner, it was obvious that, whilst our fully internal water-cooled system was ideal where no outside box was allowed it was important to offer an Air to Air alternative.
This extensive work and investment have now come to fruition with the release of the unique and patented OES Internal Air to Air
system.
The air-to-air system condenser can be hidden in a loft or garage etc and is suitable for not only residential use but also light commercial/retail.
It uses the same principle as a traditional air conditioning system but is totally hidden from view.
The condenser can be hidden from view in various locations and can be connected to a maximum of 4 separate room units and can offer comprehensive cooling and heating to each room.
Being compatible with wall units, concealed ducted systems, floor standing units and ceiling mounted cassettes it is an ideal fit for any suitable home.
As this system is an Air – Air system (Air Source Heat Pump), as from 1st April 2022 HMRC announced that, as part of their Domestic Energy Saving Measures Scheme, all air conditioning that offers a comprehensive level of Heating as well as Cooling is subject to 0% VAT.
